For people who'd rather do anything than see a dentist.

We don't blame you. About half our patients hadn't been for five years or more when they first came in. Appointments here are longer, nothing happens until you understand it, and if you raise your hand, we stop. Every time.

The chat is free, on the phone or in person, and you don't sit in the chair.

In for 4, hold for 4, out for 6.

How we keep it calm

None of this costs extra. It's just how we work.

Raise your hand and we stop

Not slow down. Stop. We agree the signal before we start, and we practise it once so you know it works.

Your own headphones, your own playlist

Bring them or borrow ours. Lots of people listen to a podcast and say it's the first time they've not heard the drill.

Show and tell before anything happens

We'll show you on a model, then on the screen, then tell you what you'll feel. No surprises, ever.

Longer appointments

A check-up here is 40 minutes, not 15. Most of that is talking. Nobody is waiting on you.

A quiet room

Surgery 2 faces the park and has the radio off. Ask for it when you book.

Sedation when it's right

IV sedation with Dr Owen for bigger treatments, if you want it. We'll talk it through properly first.

Someone with headphones on, looking out of a window at the sea

“I listened to two episodes of a murder podcast and when I took my headphones off, it was done.”

Your first visits, step by step

You go at your pace. Some people do all four in a week. Some take two months.

1

A chat, not a check-up

Fifteen minutes on the phone or in our garden room. Tell us what went wrong last time. We'll listen.

2

Meet the room

Come in, sit in the chair if you like, hold the mirror. Then go home. That's the whole visit.

3

A gentle look

Just looking and counting. No scraping, no needles. We tell you what we see, in plain words.

4

A plan you agree to

Written down, priced, and in an order you're comfortable with. You can change your mind at any point.

Treatments and prices

We're one of the few practices in Cardiff still taking new NHS adult patients, for now. Private prices are fixed and written into your plan before we start.

Start with a chat

Ring and ask for a calm chat. Or email if talking on the phone is part of the problem. Plenty of people do.
